Author’s introduction: After obtaining a master degree in Automation Engineering and after ten years of work, I gained a wide experience as a software developer and system integrator for pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. With a consolidated knowledge of automation pyramid and ISE S95 / S88 principles for industrial integration and Industry 4.0 transformation, my current job is to provide guidance for designing global automation standards to harmonize computerized systems management and increase efficiency of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes according to GMP standards, CFR21 Part 11 requirements and Data Integrity compliance aspects.
Book abstract: As a new technologies enthusiast, during the pandemic period I have spent some time to read several books about the disruptive Blockchain paradigm starting from its first application, namely the Bitcoin protocol; I thought that some of those books were good but too conversational and some others were too technical to approach Blockchain from scratch. I guessed there was probably some sort of middle ground to address and so I have written this book that you can consider as a comprehensive research paper or basically an insightful guideline to define the nature of the Blockchain technology and to effectively realize what the Blockchain paradigm does; at the end of the book it is also present a detailed and very practical appendix with which you will be able to test first-hand how the Bitcoin blockchain works using the corresponding testing network.
Author’s note: It is necessary to specify that this book has a pretty technical approach but all concepts, key aspects, schemes and examples are presented and explained step by step in a modular way so that it is not necessary to know or master any programming language to follow the whole discussion.
