On the planet pk-l7, humanity thought it had found the answer to its prayers when xenium was discovered there. This substance could be used to make a powerful fuel that would send civilization across the stars. But, as mining operations got underway, the seemingly peaceful aliens changed, becoming murderous. Now, few survivors are left, including green Squad, a Group of operatives that had been deep below the surface when the attacks started. Who will make it out of the tunnels alive? Dark side is a standalone expansion for zombicide: invader. Players take on the role of members of green Squad and must fight their way through a 10-mission campaign, battling the dangerous and deadly Driller xenos along the way. Will it be humanity or the aliens that make it to the surface first?
THE DARK IS STARING BACK AT YOU: Dark Side details the hours preceding the Xenos invasion on the distant planet PK-L7, right before the events of Zombicide Invader. In this standalone game, players are members of the Green Squad, the sole military unit to survive in the underground tunnels of PK-L7.
COOPERATIVE SURVIVAL STRATEGY GAME: Play together against the game as Survivors of a subterranean alien invasion! The terrifying Xenos are played by the game itself, using simple rules and a deck of cards. Find weapons, eliminate Xenos, and upgrade your Survivor’s skills with experience.
NEW SURVIVORS, WEAPONS AND FOES: Green Squad consists of six new survivors, along with a new Bot and a Sentry gun. They have the training and equipment, now they just need a little cunning and luck to survive. The Driller Xenos burrow at frightening speed. Able to pop up almost out of nowhere, they are a dangerous foe that can suddenly attack from any direction.
NUMBER OF PLAYERS AND AVERAGE PLAYTIME: This fun zombie board game for adults and family is designed for 1 to 6 players and is suitable for ages 14 and up. Average game time is approximately one hour.
